Barbara Bush, daughter of former President George W. Bush, is joining the fight for gay marriage. The famous twin appeared in a video for the Human Rights Campaign in support of same-sex marriage rights.
"I'm Barbara Bush and I'm a New Yorker for marriage equality," she says in the ad. "New York is about fairness and equality and everyone should have the right to marry the person that they love. Join us."
This video is part of a series featuring New Yorkers, pushing to legalize gay marriage it in New York. The state blocked a bill allowing it in December 2009.
She is not the first daughter of a politician to speak out in favor of same sex marriage, or disagree with her dad. That trailblazing honor goes to Meghan McCain who has also been very vocal on the issue. Though there's a growing group of high-profile conservatives who have recently spoken out in support, including Dick Cheney, Laura Bush, Ted Olson and Ken Mehlman.
Democrats like Barack Obama and Joe Biden oppose gay marriage.

BAD-ASS! Nice! I hold her daddy in the lowest esteem anyone can and still walk the streets a free man, but I really must applaud her. Git on with your bad self Barbara!
does this show have a podcast?
Sorry to act like a troll but I can't get a response from anyone!!!
You are good, no problem. If you can scroll to the top of the page, then scroll down past the "Donate to Last Word K.I.N.D Fund" banner on the right hand side, there is a blue bar beneathe it that says "Missed the Show?" Press that and it should give you joy, ie the whole last episode in a pop-out viewer.
I know but I'm looking for a podcast like Maddow's or like Keith's.....?
I could try to download the show then pull the audio track and then add to my ipod but I work late at night and miss the daily show.
Just need a podcast feed like almost all the other shows have.....
OR a response from the producers saying "this won't happen" (or something to that affect)
Oh, I've got ya. My bad. Honestly, I don't know. There is Last Word mobile, just to the right of what I'm writing, and up an inch or so. Text "LAST" to 622639. And the GetGlue app. Honest, I'm not trying to be a smart ass - despite my reputation. Just trying to help. I hope something works out.
She's really pretty. Her delivery was a little stilted, but I admire her courage. And here's a sign to Democrats that they might be on the wrong side of an issue:If even uber-conservatives have finally caved and admitted that the world won't end because of boys kissing, falling in love, and then getting married, then it's time to leave behind the antiquated idea of basing marriage off of genitalia. To give Obama credit, his campaigning on DADT was more than some politicians were willing to do for the LGBT community.
As for Dick Cheney finally coming out in support for gay marriage, it's about time.
