Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has some heavyweights in his corner this election. Politico noted some of the biggest stars in mixed martial arts cage-fighting have come out in support of the Nevada Senator. Randy Couture, Frank Mir, Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell all have Reid’s back. Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao is scheduled to appear alongside Reid on the campaign trail tomorrow in Las Vegas.
Perhaps, it's their fighting roots that bring them all together. Reid used to box as middleweight back in the day. He needs to show that spirit a bit more if he intends to win — right now, he’s trailing Tea Party candidate Sharron Angle in the polls.

Im half Canadian,where first of all ,like Europe,elections last 90 days.(the whole process,of "running".In the USA ,we are the only Country to have it drag on forever and spend "zillions"of dollars.I live in MN,and take Michelle Bachman for example,spending more than 10 million! We are in a recession,they (politicians) all say the Country is broke,but have no problem spening all this money! Its a sin(excuse the oun on Religion)
If the USA,worked like other Modern Countries, to get elected,the elections would be more serious,focused and allot less $$$$$ would be spent.It is always like that! Ms. Angle is running a race on "substance unseen" and it seems that in Nevada, her constituents don't care. If she wins this election, they just might regret their blind decision of voting for her.
The tragedy is that what she does in the Senate will affect ALL AMERICANS! She does not represent the majority of Americans. With all that she has said and not said, and done and not done is SO UN-AMERICAN.
By the way, Mrs. Angle is a career politician. She keeps hiding that fact. She's just not been in Washington, D.C.. She's playing the same game as those in Washington, so, we can be assured that she will help to continue, "Washington is broken!" As junior senators, she and they will be in lock-step with their senior leadership. Therefore, NOTHING will get done - their leadership has already told us this. They haven't worked for the people for more than two years - busy campaigning; so, for the next two years, we'll have more of the same.
Unfortunately, some of these extreme candidates will win; however, I'm praying that she is not one of them. These folks do not impress me as caring for America or Americans. They, just like many of those in Washington, want prestige and power.
