The wise man Pee Wee Herman once said, "I know you are, but what I am I?" We are asking ourselves that question right now with Christine (no relation) O'Donnell's new TV ad. Speaking very slowly into the camera, the Republican Senate candidate in Delaware says, "I'm not a witch." O'Donnell continues, "I'm nothing you've heard. I'm you."
Well, now I'm just plain confused. Last time I checked — and no offense to the Harry Potter franchise — I did not dabble in the dark arts. So, Last Word fans, please help us out here.
Christine O'Donnell says is she is you. Is she? Tell us why or why not in your own video. You can do it in three easy steps.
Directions:
1). Create a 30 to 45-second video, explaining why O'Donnell is like you or not. Web cams are fine. Fancy cameras with fancy editing works, too. We're pretty relaxed over here.
2). Upload your video to YouTube.
3). Email us your video link, along with your name, age and address. Please feel free to email us with any questions.
We'll select the best entries for potential use on the blog and on the show.

Thanks Bill!
Is it me, or is O'Donnell-no-relation going to the Twilight-vampire look here?
I was just starting Step 1 then to my chagrin
The freakishness continues unabated. Ms. O'Donnell's first mistake (or rather, I suppose, the latest in a long series of mistakes dating back at least to the 1990's, according to the video evidence, that is) was to hire the guy who did the notoriously freaky, bizarre, if not out-and-out deviant "Demon Sheep" ad for Carly Fiorina. I have no doubt that this personage, one Fred Davis, is nothing other than a loyal Republican, who has nothing other than the best interests of Christine O'Donnell and the Republican party at the forefront of his working consciousness. It's quite obvious, though, that beneath that forefront there ticks the imagination of a seriously bent individual, who simply cannot help himself but to present whatever subject matter is at hand in some type of peculiar, abnormal light.
For a man who has not displayed much subtlety in his past work, he manages to take a very subtle tack in this ad. But the underlying rhetorical point is communicated all the same: Christine O'Donnell is one twisted sister, even more so than we had previously thought.
Why else present her in this ominous, gloomy, nearly occultish dark setting? Wearing dark clothes, fitting for, say, a witch, perhaps? And that unsettling focus with which she confronts the viewer, assuring us that, despite all of our protestations to the contrary, "I am you". What kind of creepy voodoo-soul-transference hoodoo is that? I half-expected her head to swivel around 180 degrees at the end, present us a nice reassuring smile, pronounce "I'm Christine O'Donnell, and I approve this message", and then hurl green vomit onto the camera lens, accompanied by a deep, blood-curdling, guttural howl.
Christine O'Donnell isn't like me, because after she loses this election, she'll live off the 2.5 million she's collected from outside the state of Delaware in donations, the powers that be have made her a millionaire.
Christine O'Donnell isn't like me, after this election, which i hope the people of Delaware will send her home, she'll be a 2.5 million millionaire, she can live off that till the next election, she's done it before, and how are the charges against her using campaign funds to live off of, are they on target for a court date, either before the election or after, well she will have plenty of money for her defense. LOL
What is the actual email address to send entries? having trouble linking

What was that David Gregory interview - a paid commercial for teabagger Marco Rubio? What a one-sided totally non-objective love fest from Gregory to Rubio. I can't believe you let that sell-out Gregory spout his brown-nosing propaganda about Rubio without challenging him in any way. Bad, bad, bad! Is that how you're going to run your show? We already have plenty of soft-core "news shows", we don't need any more. We need people who challenge these right wing liars - are you up to the challenge?
